A team of handlers and their dogs will be selected to represent Western Australia at the Agility Nationals 2024 to be held in New South Wales from Tuesday 9th July to Sunday 14th July 2024.
Selection will be based on a dogs top twenty [20] results from trials run between 16th September 2023 & 30th April 2024. Only dogs competing in Masters are eligible for points. A dogs top ten [10] results from Masters Agility & top ten [10] results from Masters Jumping will be included. If a dog has not qualified in ten of each then all qualifying cards will be counted.
The top ten [10] scores will be calculated as follows;
The top six dogs will be notified of their qualification for the WA team in May 2024. Dogs ranked 1st - 5th will be automatically offered a position on the team while the 6th ranked dog will be offered the reserve spot. Team positions are self funded, therefore if a position on the team is accepted, the individual is solely responsible for the costs to attend the Nationals.
As per the ANKC National Teams rules a maximum of five (5) dogs from the team will be nominated to run over both courses prior to the completion of ‘Check in’ on the first day of Nationals competition. The sixth dog will not run unless substituted due to a top five dog being withdrawn for any reason.
Points will be tallied by the Agility Working Party via an export of results data from the Top Dog Events website. Any objections to the tally can be lodged with the Chair of the Agility Working Party (Gail Brindley).
All trials run between 16th September 2023 & 30th April 2024 will be included in the selection process. If a trial listed below does not schedule ADM or JDM (i.e. is a games trial), it will not count towards point accumulation. If a club hosts more than one ADM or JDM trial on one day, all will count towards point accumulation.
