WA AGILITY - DOG OF THE YEAR AWARDS - 2017
On Friday evening the 8th December the 2017 WA Agility Awards Night was conducted at the German Shepherd Dog Association of WA grounds. It was an event that for a second year saw a dedicated group of WA agility enthusiasts pull together under the guidance of the super efficient and hard working Gail Brindley, to create an evening to celebrate those who had achieved highly in various areas of our much loved sport.
With the usual very short turnaround time to collate results and a very limited time to organise a successful event, approximately 40 agility people came together to enjoy an fun evening that included a catered meal, raffles, games and of course the awards presentation. This year saw competitive spirits at their best with each table challenged to create the best Christmas tree made out of straws, pipe cleaners and plastic cups.
This years results saw a group of very deserving winners take home a beautiful trophy and prize. The 2017 WA trialling year saw 52 trials held and 1688 qualifications cards handed out (not including games trials).
Thanks again to our wonderful sponsors which included Perth agility clubs, organisations and individuals who so kindly donated money and prizes. We could not do this without you.
